A membrane can be many things. Wire mesh spread thin over grinding coil. Heaving webbed hand at base of human breath silo. Wet polyurethane crawl. Voice and dry pressure kneading a tiny sail. Lips and teeth, celluloid springs, wriggling heat.

Ten and ten.
Coating drips and drools off in ooze.

This is HYMMNN live at Café Gummo, in the city of Melbourne on Wurundjeri land, coldpressed and dripped through HYMMNN, live months later at the Front, in the city of Canberra on Ngunnawal/Ngambri land.

As always: heaving, panting. Gyrating, cramping, lit up in purple.

Thank you to the soundie at Café Gummo – I didn’t catch your name sorry. Thank you to November who brought the Zoom and recorded the sets at Gummo. The red pump of human membrane – punches tiny sail buoying panting, desperate-to-keep-up, little copper coil who could – who, heated to white stressed melting point, eyes rolling back in head – pushes grinding, smashed, ridged surfaces to aural burning point.
